It is easy to join the PTO!
First of First Steps is to come to our monthly meeting (see schedule on Home Page). If you have any questions before coming to a meeting, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you are interested in volunteering at the school please complete the steps below per school district policy.
Please follow the steps below to be able to volunteer at the school:
1. Complete and submit the COCISD Volunteer Application.
2. Our Volunteer Coordinator will be notified that you have submitted an application.
3. You and the campus principal will be notified via email or phone within 2 weeks that your application was approved, or if there is a problem that requires further clarification.
In completing the application, volunteers will be submitting information for the purpose of conducting a criminal history background check. The District will obtain the criminal history record of all prospective volunteers who will be working with students, including, but not limited to mentors, tutors, field trip sponsors, or any volunteers who will have access to student information, and volunteers who work on a regular basis with students in accordance with Board Policy GKG (LEGAL). This background check will not be required for one-time volunteers who may work at a special event such as a carnival. The background check is strictly confidential.
If you have questions or need more information, contact Volunteer Coordinator Cassie Gregory at 936-653-1138 or [email protected].
